Support Groups

MJT’s support groups are clinician-facilitated spaces for shared reflection and support around particular mental-health concerns and life experiences. This page introduces the current group focuses, participation information, and allows you to enquire where relevant.

About Our Groups

Difficulties can often feel profoundly private, even when others are navigating something similar. Our groups offer a structured setting in which individuals can reflect alongside others with related experiences, and shared concerns can be approached with presence, perspective and the appropriate professional guidance.

Depending on the group, this may include collaborative discussion, peer support and psycho-educational input. Shared experience does not imply sameness; it creates room for recognition while respecting individual context. For some, a group may complement individual therapy; for others, it may be a meaningful form of support in its own right.

Clinical Information

MJT’s groups are not a substitute for individual psychotherapy, psychiatric treatment, emergency care or crisis intervention. Participation may not be suitable for every individual or at every stage of a difficulty.

Groups may be offered in person or online. Participants are expected to engage respectfully and to treat what is shared with care. While confidentiality is an important group principle, it cannot be guaranteed where information is shared among group participants. An initial enquiry or brief screening process may be required, particularly for those not already known to the practice. This helps ensure clinical safety and suitability.

Note: For urgent mental-health support or concerns about immediate safety, please contact emergency services, a crisis service or your nearest emergency department.
